My Dr. Denese

Apparently, glycolic acids and retinoids inactivate each other (?). I have been using the facial pads at night and then right on to the Wrinkle Rx extreme pro-peptide gel and the Retinmax firming serum. Is this combination inactivating the active ingredients?

Hi - I read the same article I believe, which stated that glycolic acids should not be used at the same time as retinoids. Like you, I'm concerned about my Denese product regime.

For those that did not see the article, it is located at:

Glycolic acid and retinoids do NOT inactivate each other. The reason we recommend using the pads and prescription strength retinoids on alternate days is because using them both may be too harsh/irritating for the skin. FirmaTone Rx RetinolMax SerumAdvanced is to be applied after the Advanced Firming Facial Pads and Wrinkle Rx Extreme Pro Peptide Gel, as indicated on the packaging. You are using them correctly.
Thank you! My skin seemed to be doing just fine with the combination, but that article made me wonder if there was some new research indicating other wise.
