Unfortunately, thinning of the lips is a rule as we age and so are lipstick bleed lines. We lose the well defined border of the lip. As far as volumizing injections are concerned, your own fat is an excellent candidate. Lip enhancement increases volume, defines the lip border and dramatically helps lip bleed lines. Full lips are one of the most rejuvenating features of a face. Temporary filler injections are a frequently used option to your own fat. Medium density Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restyline and Captique are used most frequently. Please let your doctor guide you. Word of caution, please don't assume that lipstick will automatically provide sun screen for your lips so please start to use sunscreen on your lips on a continuous basis. Because once the lines appear, there is very little we can do so it best to prevent.

In the final analysis, let us keep things in perspective. Let us realize the fact that even a generation ago women and men looked much older as compared to people of the same age, today. Think about your parents or your Grandparents generation, how vastly older they looked compared to you now, at the same age. How much more fit we are, how much better we eat, how much less we smoke, how much better our skin looks and how much more energetic, healthy and younger looking we are today. So from this perspective we must be doing something just right. With all the medical advances, with proper attention to your skin and to your life style, it is truly in your power to look younger than you ever thought was possible.
